Newspaper Ads & Layouts

I spent many years working in newspapers, a media I really loved. These are a few of the ads, feature pages and general layouts done in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. This is where I learned a lot about print production and time management.

Two ads for The Forum Newsgroup, a regional newspaper based in the Howard Beach neighborhood of Queens, NY. The left is a full-page self-promotional ad calling for small businesses to advertise in our paper. The right was a quarter-page ad for a local florist.

Two pages I created for the Texarkana Gazette, where I was both a graphic designer and a copy editor. Newspaper layout offered a lot of opportunities with page layout and with a daily deadline, I learned how to do them fast.
